The Vice Chancellor, Federal University Gusau, Professor Mu’azu Abubakar Gusau, has approved the appointment of Dr. Linus Akor of the Department of Sociology, Faculty of Management and Social Sciences, as the University Orator.
Dr. Akor’s appointment was conveyed in a letter dated August 7, 2024 and signed by the Registrar and Secretary to Council, Malam Yakubu Anivbassa.
According to the letter, Dr. Akor, a seasoned Criminologist and Media personality will service as Orator during Convocation and other University events.
Dr. Akor, an Associate Professor of Criminology, is also the Chairman of the University’s Media and Communications Committee.
The appointee is expected to bring his over two decades’ wealth of media experience as an erstwhile print Journalist to bear on his new assignment.
