With the recent approval of N1.2b as subsidy to intending Pilgrims by the Jigawa state government, the state pilgrims board says it is now set for a hitch free 2024 Hajj excercise
The Director General of the board, Alh. Ahmed Umar Labbo gave this indication while addressing newsmen on the State of preparedness of the board towards the exercise.
He commended the State Government for not Only the gesture but also the provision of enough funds to the.board, saying with the available resources, they are confident of living up to expectation.
He enumerated parts of the preparations to include prompt remittance of Hajj fares of 1,290 of the intending pilgrims and state officials to the tune of N7.3b to the Coffers of the National Hajj Commission, organizing a one month Hajj Seminars to acquaint intending Pilgrims of the Dos and Donts of Hajj obligations at all the Hajj Centres across the state, as well as the provision of Hajj Guide pamphlets.
Others include, securing uniforms for both male and female intending pilgrims, distribution of luggages, accommodation and transportation to pilgrims in the holy land, payment of Hajj visas, yellow cards and vaccination
He advised the intending Pilgrims from the state to.be good ambassadors while in.the.holy land.
