Kaduna State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Agency has advised intending pilgrims for the 2024 Hajj to make an initial deposit of N2.5 million.
The Executive Secretary of the Agency, Dr Yusuf Yakubu Arrigassiyu who gave the advice on Wednesday, further advised them to pay an additional N4.5million by 31 December.
According to him, these deposits should be made pending the announcement of Hajj fares by the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON).
The Executive Secretary who briefed reporters in his office, also counseled intending pilgrims to present themselves physically at the various registration centres across the state because registration by proxy will not be allowed.
Dr Arrigassiyu also called on the registration officers to give priority to first time intending pilgrims during the exercise.
