Nigeria: We ‘ve Recorded Remarkable Success Within 100 Days In Office – Gov. Namadi

Governor Umar Namadi of Jigawa State said that his administration has achieved tremendous success in almost all the sector’s within his first 100 days in office in line with his 12- point agenda.

Addressing a Press Parley at Govt. House Dutse, Namadi said the success in key areas of security and economy were recorded through commitments.

According to Governor Namadi, “our 12 point agenda covers almost all spheres of life, as our administration was built upon the legacies of our past predecessors.

“For example in our Educational Sector, we introduced Inspection System Unit whereby we have put in place measures in re-organising our tertiary education, improving the quality of our teachers and provision of adequate learning kids in almost all our basic education for improve quality service delivery.

“In areas of Agriculture we review the cluster farming Program, distribution and procurement of fertilizers at forty per cent subsidized rates for farmer’s get access to fertilizer.

Other areas of intervention include, provision of solar motorized water points to farmers among other disbursement of farming implements to boost agricultural value chain.

“On flood and erosion control, government has taken proactive measures in attaining 50-60 per cent dreging of Hadejia River Valley and Embarkments attaining over a 100 kilometre radius coverage in a bid to control flood menace to riverine areas in jigawa state.

“In the areas of Youth Empowerment, govt has set up an agency in place on training and re-training of youths in different crafts of their choice whereby we trained over 5,000 youths and women who were given working tools and working capital for self reliance.

“Similarly our Invest Jigawa under the auspice of the state industrial base has registered 57 companies who are willing to invest in jigawa state, whereby out of the.number, nineteen were on ground, while others are in the pipeline willing to set up cottage industries for gainful employment to our teeming populace for self reliance”.
