The National Chairman of the Action Alliance (AA) party, Dr. Adekunle Rufai Omo-Aje, has harped on the need to sustain the reflection and practice of the essence and lesson of Eid El-Kabir which is a festival of sacrifice and seeking Allah for forgiveness.
This, he noted, would make the world a better place for all irrespective of religious affiliations.
Omo-Aje who stated this in a statement made available to newsmen in Kaduna Wednesday,felicitated with the Muslims on the celebration.
He admonished Muslims to continue to tolerate and show love and kindness to one another, be their brother’s keeper and increase their acts of ibaadah, especially sacrifice and alms giving to the needy.
“It is a time to share our blessings with the less fortunate, foster unity, and strengthen the bonds of brotherhood within our communities.
“Together, we can build a society where no one is left behind and where compassion and empathy prevails
“Muslim Ummah should use the festive season to pray for the peace and development of the state and Nigeria in general.
“I believe that the sacrifices of the season will restore the much-desired peace and unity in the country.
“I also want to call on Nigerians to pray for a bumper harvest during this farming season and to overcome the current security challenges,” he said.
