The Adara Development Association in Kajuru Local Government Area of Kaduna State, Northwest Nigeria has dispelled rumours making the rounds that the Association has adopted a particular candidate for the House Of Representatives for the constituency.
A statement signed by Mr. Makama Aplaka “For ‘Concerned Adara Communities”,
“calls on the general public to ignore the rumour as it is being ochestrated by the candidate who has overstayed his time in the green chambers using the same greedy elements in the Adara community who have placed their own selfish interest above that of the community and have put us into the present situation we are now facing in the constituency.
“Also note that the press statement has no signatory as there is no position as the ‘Chief Servant’ in the Adara Development Association.
“The people are tired of the 20 years misrepresentation of Yakubu Umar Barde and time has come for all and sundry to unite and vote a competent person into that position.
“The press statement is nothing but a divide and rule tactics meant to create disunity thereby paving a way for him to emerge once again.
“We will resist all forms of mischief and propaganda schemes to return no shaking into office for another tenure.
“We therefore encourage every Adara Indigene to go out on Saturday and exercise their rights to vote whomever they want.

The ADA Kajuru LGA Branch provided a platform today, Sunday, 19 February, where the stakeholders made the pronouncement, of the choice from various communities, on the choice of who to represent them, Adara, at the House of Representatives, as a preferred candidate.
Carefully, it was agreed that not because the other candidate is rejected on the basis of his personality or any discriminatory ground but the voices of the generality of the people chose otherwise. Therefore, it will be said that no one should say any insulting words to the one not chosen, he is our blood and flesh.
After some consultations, the Adara decided to plead with everyone to support the choice of Barrister Yahaya Washiri of the NNPP.
We, hereby, plead with all aggrieved members to rally round the decision of the people, for once, let’s canvass for this sole call.
Speaking ex cathedra, I plead that everyone shelf his/her diction and bring up strategies how we would attain victory at the polls, come Saturday.
Even with this chosen candidate, everyone is entitled to his choice but choose your people over party, community over candidate.
