PDP Guber Candidate Condemns Attack in Kaura, Kaduna

The People’s Democratic Party, PDP gubernatorial candidate in Kaduna, Isa Ashiru has condemned the attack in Malagum 1 and Sokwong communities in Kagoro Chiefdom in Kaura Local government area of Kaduna State, Northwest, Nigeria

Ashiru expressed dismay over the loss of lives during the attack and extends condolences to the Chief of Kagoro, the families of the victims and the entire people of Kaura Local Government Area

In a statement he personally signed in Kaduna, the Guber hopeful said it is disheartening and reprehensible that such senseless act could still be found within societies. “This is totally condemnable and should have no place among civilized people like us.”

Ashiru disclosed that the party has suspended the town hall meetings scheduled to commence in Kaduna South Senatorial Zone on Tuesday, 20th December, 2022, as a mark of respect to the deceased, the injured and those grieving.

“Also, all the PDP party offices in Kaduna South Senatorial zone have been advised to fly their flags at half-mast as a mark of respect to those that have been affected by this incident.”

“It is my sincere hope that as we work together to bring on board a new government at the state and federal levels by the special grace of God, we would be able to collaborate and develop strategies that would curtail future incidents,” he stated.

“While I pray for quick healing and comfort to the injured, I once again extend my sincere condolences to all those that have been affected by this incident.”
