Suspended Liberian Minister, Port Managing Director Resign Over Corruption Allegations

The President of Liberia, Dr. George Manneh Weah has accepted the resignations of suspended Minister of State for Presidential Affairs, Nathaniel F. McGill and the National Port Authority (NPA) Managing Director, Bill Twehway.

The two were suspended by President Weah following their designation by the United States of America Treasury Department last month over corruption allegation pending investigation.

A statement from the Executive Mason indicates that the two officials in their letter of resignations dated September 12, 2022, thanked President Weah for the opportunity to serve in the Government and Country.
