A portion of the John F. Kennedy (JFK) Medical Center’s fence , Liberia’s biggest hospital in Sinkor Monrovia Community, has collapsed with a family of three injured
The incident took place during the early morning hours on Sunday, while the victims were still on bed.
Residents of the community were quoted as saying that, the hospital fence wall fell on the house of the victims, injuring the father, mother and a child, who are currently seeking treatment at the hospital in Monrovia.
Witnesses account said the cause of the disaster was due to the heavy storm and rain, while others attributed the incident to the swamp and previous crack marks on the fence.
Liberia’s biggest referral hospital, JFK, is occupying huge acres of land which extends to the beach where
scores of residents usually experienced flooding.
Meanwhile, authorities of the JFK Medical Center in a statement, have expressed regret over the incident.
