Ramadan: Pastor Urges Muslims To Assist Internally Displaced Persons With Foodstuff

imageKaduna (Nigeria) — As muslims around the world began 30 days fasting, a Nigerian Christian Cleric Pastor Yohanna Buru has called on Muslims to assist internally Displaced persons living in camps across the country.

According to him, IDPs, Destitute, widows and orphans are in dear needs of Food,clothes, Shelter because they abandoned their properties due to insecurity in their communities.

Pastor Buru stated this when he visited a Muslim Scholar, Alaramma Abdulrahman Bichi residence to donate Ramadan Foodstuffs to his students “Almajiris” in kaduna.

The visitation was aimed towards encouraging “Christian’s cleric-to-Muslim clerics visitation” so as to further strengthen peaceful co-existence, inter-religious tolerance and also to spread message of peace, unity and to shun all forms of ethno-religious, political differences.

Pastor Buru said, “We as christian leaders, every year usually go to prison and bail some muslim brothers to regain their Freedom, so that they can fast at home with friends, family and relatives like any other muslim. We usually join muslims scholars in breaking fast and attend their Tafsir to learn together with them.

“We are calling on muslims to pray for Nigeria and pray for the president and pray for rapid development in all sectors and to pray for sick ones to feel better, pray for continuous unity of Nigeria “ he said.

Pastor Yohanna also urged muslims to be spiritually prepared for the forthcoming Ramadan fast by moving closer to Allah and be steadfast in prayers for God’s intervention on security issues bordering the nation and to also give zakka “alms given to the needy among them.

In his remarks, Alaramma Abdulrahman Bichi thanked the Christian Cleric for the visit and the Foodstuff donation, saying during Easter period, as Muslims they also identify with the Christian by joining to break their fast at their places of worshiped.
