Cape Town – South African power utility Eskom said it did not anticipate loadshedding on Monday.

“There is currently no loadshedding anticipated for this evening as Eskom has adequate generating capacity to meet the demand in electricity,” Eskom said.

The cold weather across the country did, however, mean a constrained power system during peak hours, from 5pm – 9pm.

Eskom appealed to its customers to reduce electricity usage throughout the day, particularly during morning and evening peak periods.
