At least, two persons are reportedly killed in Dutse, the Jigawa State capital, along Shuwarin – Dutse road and in front of Govt House, during confrontation between protesters and the police.
The protesters comprising youths, students, women, CSOs were as early as 8 a.m this Thursday seen matching on the streets carrying plycards with different inscriptions as “Enough is enough” we are tired of bad governance”
Others read “reverse back fuel subsidy removal” Tinubu is a failure, No no no to bad APC government” “Nigeria is bleeding” Say No to corrupt government of Tinubu, among Others.
Security operatives at Government House overpowered the protesters from gaining access to present their grievances to the Governor.
Our Correspondent reports that the protestants were teargas and dispersed by the police, while they threw back the teargas at the police as well as stonning.
The protestants also had their way to vandalize the State Headquarters of the ruling party, APC, along Abdullahi Maikano Way.

Major offices, banks, schools and businesses across Dutse have been shut while security operatives are either patrolling or stationed at strategic points in the city.
