Katsina State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ and National Association of Women Journalists, NAWOJ have felicitated the Kanwan Katsina District Head of Ketare, Alh. Usman Bello Kankara who clocks twenty three years on the throne
The congratulatory letters were signed by the Chairman, State Council of the NUJ, Comrade Tukur Hassan Dan-Ali and the Chairperson of NAWOJ, Hannatu Mohammed
According to NUJ, Journalists are watchdogs of the society and the twenty three years of the traditional rulership of Alh. Usman Bello Kankara witnessed successes in growth and developments springing across his domain during these years.
“As a retired Comptroller in the Nigerian Custom Service, we have seen that Alh. U.K Bello has brought his paramilitary experience in ensuring orderliness and service to the communities.
“More so, Alh. U.K Bello can best be described as the most Media Friendly traditional leader in Katsina State.
“In view of these and many other qualities of Alh. Usman Bello Kankara, Journalists in Katsina State are highly proud to always associate with the Kanwan Katsina.
“Once again, the umbrella body of working Journalists in Katsina State is wishing Alh. Usman Bello Kankara many more years of successful traditional leadership.
On its part, NAWOJ which heartily felicitated the traditional ruler who is also the Patron, on the occasion of twenty three (23) years of attainment to the throne of his father, prayed Allah S.W.T. to guide him
“Your purposeful and steadfastness as a Monarch, has no doubt attracted developmental projects to the communities of Ketare district.
“NAWOJ has it on record that your 23 years on the throne of Ketare District have witnessed lots of achievements, especially in the areas of youth and women empowerment, educational development, and provision of basic amenities for the ruralites
“‘We wish you, our patron, the Kanwan Katsina, Alhaji Usman Bello Kankara good health, Allah’s guidance and blessing to continue to bring more development to Ketare District, Kankara local government area and Katsina State as a whole.
“We again pray for the return of peace in Ketare District, Kankara Local Government, Katsina State and the country as a whole”, concludes the message.
