Nigerian Youth Group Congratulates Buhari

Kaduna (Nigeria) – National Council of Muslim Youth Organizations (NACOMYO) has congratulated president-elect, Muhammadu Buhari over his victory at the polls.

The group also saluted president Jonathan for conceding defeat even before the release of final results.

NACOMYO disclosed in a statement signed by its National Secretary, Binyamin Atanda Yusuf.

They further enjoined Nigerians to repeat the feat of the 28 March election by coming out en-masse to vote for candidates of their choice in the Gubernatorial and of Houses of Assembly elections on 11 of April, 2015.

The group urges the people to ensure that only candidates that put Nigeria first and work towards alleviating their sufferings are elected.

” The council wishes to congratulate president elect, General Muhammadu Buhari, his party APC

” well meaning Nigerians that quequed patiently in sun and rain to exercise their civic rights and made sure their votes counted.

“We commend Jega and his commission the INEC for organizing yet, the best election so far in Nigeria.

” The council appreciates the sportsmanship attitude of president Goodluck Jonathan for conceding defeat through his congratulatory message to president-elect, Buhari which doused the tension and anxiety in the country.

” This singular act by president Jonathan has written his name in gold in the annals of Nigerian statesmen that will never be forgotten.

” We call on Nigerians not to relent in their prayers and supplication for the success of president-elect to enable him live up to the expectations of all Nigerians,” the statement says.
