UN Conf. On Least Dev Countries: Zambian President Leaves For Qatar

Officials of the Zambian government led by President Hakainde Hichilema left for Qatar Friday in their continued international diplomacy to push the case for the country and attract more investment.

On the invitation of that country’s leadership, the Zambian delegation shall join other leaders to participate at the 5th United Nations Conference on the Least Developed Countries.
It is aimed at overcoming structural challenges, eradicate poverty, achieve internationally agreed development goals and enable graduation from the LDC category.

According to Hichilema, “We shall also hold bilateral talks with Amir of Qatar (the Head of State) and other key economic players in sectors such as agriculture, energy, transport, infrastructure and industry”,
