Liberian Nimba County Senator, Jeremiah Koung has donated two thousand United States dollars as medical assistance to save the life of a Liberian, Cecelia McClain who is currently battling cancer in India.

According to State Radio ELBC, the senator’s donation was prompted by an appeal made by the grandmother of the victim, Nohn Walaun on a local radio station seeking financial assistance in the public to save the life of her granddaughter.

Madam Nohn Walaun disclosed that she needs about $8,000USD to facilitate her child’s treatment in India.

Making such tearful appeal, Kortor Kwagrue immediately responded with the sum of $2,000 USD to help augment the treatment process of Cecelia Mcclain on behalf of the lawmaker on Thursday, July 07, 2022.

Receiving the cash in Ganta City, Madam Walaun extended thanks and appreciation to Sen. Koung and called on other well-meaning Nimbains to follow the footsteps of the Nimba policymaker to save the life of her granddaughter in raising the remaining six thousand United States dollars.
