The government of Liberia through the Ministry of Public Works has begun the pavement of the Dixville to Caldwell road as a major route commuting citizens to their various destinations as part of the legacy of President George M. Weah.
It can be recalled that residents of the mentioned areas have complained to national government of the bad road situation over several years which has been a challenge for them in order to achieve their daily goals.
But at this juncture, Public Works Minister, Madam Ruth Coker-Collins has indicated that a boost of the Pro Poor Agenda for Prosperity and Development by the use of road connectivity remains vital.
Road works have commenced on the short stretch of road between Dixville and Caldwell that will also connect Duala and other places, making it very easy for buses and other vehicles to ply between Duala, Barnersville and beyond.
“Infact only detour could get one to enter through Caldwell from the Dixville side but we finally have some good news. Our boots are currently on the route and this hurdle is expected to be history; Dixville will now be finally connected to Caldwell onwards to Duala”, Public Works Minister Madam Coker-Collins noted.
Meanwhile, residents of those beneficial communities have welcomed government’s efforts as a cardinal development to the country.
