Nigeria Union of Journalists ( NUJ ), Kaduna Council, has threatened to boycott activities of the main opposition party, PDP in the State over the conduct of its Public Relations Officer, PRO.

The threat which is contained in a communique issued after its Congress on Wednesday, followed the PRO’s decision to accredit a few journalists to cover the PDP governorship primary election which was meant to be “a national assignment”.

It urged the Party organ to as a matter of urgency, caution the PRO, Katoh Alberah not to create division among its members.

Should the PRO continues in this manner, the Union would have no option than to boycott PDP’s activities in the state. the Communique warned

It further sees the attitude of the PRO towards journalists as always “rude and arrogant”.

The Union enjoins its members not to allow any individual or group to divide them.

The Communique also condemned the harassment of members by security agents at a recent event of the PDP.
