Nigeria: Gov. Matawalle Consoles Former Gov. Yari Over Loss Of In-law

Zamfara State Governor, Bello Mohammed (Matawallen Maradun) has condoled with his immediate predecessor, Abdulazeez Yari over the death of his father in-law, Malam Salihu.

Governor Matawalle was in Talata-Mafara to condole with the former Governor who became bereaved three days ago.

Condoling the family, Governor Matawalle expressed his sympathy over the passing away of the former Governor’s father-in-law.

“Let me convey the heartfelt condolence of my entire family and indeed, on behalf of my Government over this irreparable loss. We might have lost him in this world, but we are confident that Allah has received him in the best of abode” Governor Matawalle prayed.

Responding on behalf of the family, former Governor Yari thanked Governor Matawalle for the condolence visit and said he was elated to receive the Governor as he commended him for his exemplary attitude.

“While I thank you most profoundly for this exemplary visit, I wish to assure the Citizens of Zamfara State that this time will mark the beginning of a new and better Zamfara state for all of us”, Former Governor Yari assured.

Malam Salihu was the father of Hajiya Fatima the wife of former Governor Abdulazeez Yari. He was buried last Friday at Talata-Mafara.
