In Nigeria, people who are suffering from heart diseases have called for more enlightenment and proactive measures aimed at curtailing the growing numbers of Trans Fat related diseases in the country.
Trans Fat are type of fats that contain certain chemical properties, usually found in processed foods like baked foods, fried foods, margarine, and some vegetable oils. They increase blood cholesterol levels in human when taken, as well as increase the risk of heart diseases.
In this special report, Andrew Ibrahim Mshelia takes a look at the implications of Trans Fat to humans, as it relates to heart diseases and financial burdens to common man.
