Governor of Bauchi State, Senator Bala Mohammed Thursday declared opened, an Anti-Corruption Workshop  for political office holders in the State.

Governor Bala at the occasion held at Hazibal Hotel Bauchi called on the participants to consider themselves as partners in the fight against corruption.

The Governor who was highly delighted to welcome the invited guests to the summit, appreciated Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission for bringing the workshop to Bauchi State.

He said the workshop is intended for political office holders  in the state to gain new insights and ways to curb the menace of corruption.

He informed the gathering of efforts  his administration made to cleanse the state payroll saying that his administration has successfully removed 2116 ghost workers from the payroll.

Governor Bala promised to continue to work with the available resources to provide citizens with basic social aminities to fulfill his campaign promises.

Other speakers were the Provost, Anti Corruption Academy of Nigeria, Mr Shola Akinrinmade,  Secretary of the State Government, Alhaji Mohammed Sabiu Baba who spoke through the Chief of Staff, Government House Bauchi, Dr Ladan Salihu.
