The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila has felicitated with the Awujale of Ijebu Land, Oba Sikiru Kayode Adetona on his 60th coronation anniversary.
The Speaker said Oba Sikiru Kayode Adetona, a very disciplined man that says it the way it is without fear or favour, has been exhibiting good leadership in Ijebu Land and beyond since his ascension to the throne in 1960.
He said as one of the longest-serving royal fathers in the country, Oba Adetona’s footprints in the sand of time are everywhere for all to see, noting that the people of Ijebu Land and indeed Ogun State are lucky to have such a royal father.
In a statement by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Lanre Lasisi, the Speaker urged the monarch to continue providing good leadership to his people.
While praying that God Almighty will continue to protect and bless the monarch, Gbajabiamila prayed for more fruitful years on the throne.
The Awujale of Ijebu Land, Oba Sikiru Kayode Adetona, ascended to the throne on April 2, 1960.
