Kogi Guber: Christian Group Backs Wada, …Warns Against Rigging, Imposition

The National Igala and Bassa Christian Elders Forum , apex body of Christian leaders in all denominations in Kogi East and in diaspora has thrown its weight behind Engr. Musa Wada of the Peoples Democratic Party in the November 16 Gubernatorial election.
It warns that  “any attempt to rig the elections or impose any candidate will be met with divine fury”.
The stance of the Forum is contained in a communique issued at the end of its meeting at Anyigba having deliberated on the socio- political situation in Kogi East, the State and the country at large.
The Communique signed by the Forum’s National President and National Coordinator, Pastor Joe  Egwuda and Engr Samuel Salifu said the decision to back the candidature of Wada was unanimous inview of his antecedence and that he would avert the pains of Kogites and bring development to all nooks and crannies of the State.
The Communique listed the ‘sins’ of  Yahaya Bello which led to the suffering and pains of the citizens of Kogi State in the East, West and Central to include , non payment of salaries to civil servants, lack of visible development across the State, high handedness and impunity and the unjust removal/ replacement of the Deputy Governor .
It said the deceit by the State Government concerning the invasion of Kogi East by foreigners and also the pains of youths in Kogi State who complained rightly so , of no hope for their future were worrisome.
“The Forum shares the pains of all Kogites because of the bad leadership of Governor Yahaya Bello who was imposed on the State by the power that be “.said the Communique.
The Forum revealed that it has for the past 3 years been praying and networking within Kogi State, especially Kogi East resulting in the present stance to divinely rescue the State .
It enjoins all the Churches in Kogi East , State and the nation at large to pray for the success of the elections that God may divinely Intervene.
The Communique also mandates all Churches to pray on November 10, 2019.
