NGO Trains Nigerians On The Need For Peace, Disarmed Society

Determined to ensure a free, credible and peaceful elections in Nigeria, a Non-Governmental Organization, Zamani Foundation, has trained participants on peace and disarmament before, during and after elections in every nook and cranny of the country remains peaceful.

The Chief Executive Officer of the Foundation, Talatu Henry Zamani, said the training programme was to educate participants on the need to ensure that electorate conduct themselves in an atmosphere devoid of any security challenge.

She explained that this month training programme was on peace and disarmament, stressing, “This month’s course which is on peace and disarmament will be engaging the people at the grassroots on ensuring a disarmed state and asked that the government fully engages and funny participates in all its programmes.”

She explained that those trained would go back to their local government areas to train women, youth and other groups of people towards educating them in having a conducive election environment.

“Those trained will play a major role in the coming local government election in Kaduna State towards ensuring a peaceful environment and disarmed society,” she noted.
