Kaduna (Nigeria) – Kaduna State House of Assembly has passed a number of bills, among them, Bill for Establishment of an Agency that would provide Residents cards to people in the State, as well as create a reliable data of residents for Planning and Development.

The Assembly also passed Kaduna State Landlord and Tenant Bill, aimed at regulating the rights and obligations under tenancy agreements between Landlords and premises and for connected purposes.

 

Also passed is the bill to provide for Cultural Heritage (Protection and Conservation) Agency Law, 2017, aimed at enhancing, maintaining and management of cultural antiquity, arts and crafts in the state, which replaces the Kaduna State History Bureau, CAP 69 law 1975.

Similarly, The Bill for the Establishment of Kaduna State Scholarship and Loans board was passed, aimed at setting up student’s loan scheme in collaboration with financial institutions.
