Final burial ceremony of late Mrs. Theresa Enyigbo-Edeh Idibia, the biological mother of multiple Award winning investigative journalist, Idibia Gabriel commences Monday 29th December 2025..
Popularly known as high Chief Idibia, the international Award winning journalist mother’s burial ceremony will commence about 8pm with gunshots to kick start the 3-day exciting ceremony in A’oko”Onobi, Ipoya Okpale-Ogege in Edumoga, Okpokwu LGA of Benue state, North Central Nigeria.
A statement by Chief Idibia on behalf of the family, humbly invites His Excellencies, the Governors of Benue, Kaduna States and their deputies as well as the Chief of staff, kaduna State while acknowledging his support, his Editors, colleagues journalists and other distinguished personalities.
“The ceremony of the 85 years late Mama Onyigbo will feature several finial cultural rites including Ogilinya, cultural dances, musquerades, amongst other interesting cultural display known with Benue state, the food basket of the nation.
“Clans heads, district and village heads are also humbly and respectively invited to attend and grace the burial ceremony on behalf of his HRH, the Ochi”Idoma.
“The ceremony which involves feasting with cow, pigs and almost 9 goats would last for 3 consecutive days of non-stop with Ai’Okonobi and Aujah, Oodo and A’ede Okpale Ogege-Ahaje playing through out.
“The family also extends heart filled of excitement and commendations to Kaduna State council of Nigeria Union of Journalists, the council chairman and secretary and the entire state council executive members and members for their support”,
