Nigeria: Middle Belt Forum Announces New Appointments

... Kaduna Chairman, Binniyat Now National Spokesman

The Middle Belt Forum (MBF), the overarching umbrella body of the people of the Middle Belt in central Nigeria, has announced a minor tinkering with its National Working Committee (NWC).
The President of the  Forum, Dr. Pogu Bitrus, announced at a meeting of its NWC on Tuesday, that Barrister Aba Ejembi from Benue State  has been promoted to National Secretary General while Mr. Luka Binniyat, Chairman of the Forum’s Kaduna State Chapter was also confirmed as the National Public Relations Officer (PRO).

Barrister Ejembi was the Deputy Secretary General of the MBF, while Binniyat was elected Chairman of the Kaduna Chapter of the MBF in July 2024.

A statement signed by Lanre Obafemi, Director of Administration said by this development, Binniyat, a veteran reporter and former National Spokesman of the Southern Kaduna Peoples Union (SOKAPU) will henceforth be the national Spokesman of the Middle Belt Forum.

“Dr Pogu calls on the Middle Belt family and the general public to take note of this changes and give the new officials all the cooperation they may need”, the statement concludes.
