The Igbo World Assembly (IWA) has extended heartfelt congratulations to Chief Senator John Azuta Mbata on his election as the President General of Ohanaeze Ndi Igbo. The newly elected National Executive Committee (NEC) officials were also commended for their roles.
In a press release signed by IWA Chairman Dr. Nwachukwu Anakwenze, General Secretary Chief Oliver Nwankwor, and Vice Chairman Chief Christian Onuorah, the organization praised the outgoing leadership of Chief Nze Ozichukwu Chukwu for ensuring a smooth democratic transition.
Despite recent factional disputes, IWA expressed optimism that the new leadership would address key challenges with statesmanship and diplomacy, fostering unity, peace, and development. The statement emphasized IWA’s commitment to supporting the new leadership and promoting the Igbo agenda.
