Nigeria: Kaduna NULGE Tasks LG Councils To Draw Up New Road Map To Confront Challenges

The Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees, NULGE, Kaduna State Chapter, has charged the newly sworn in Chairmen of Local Government Councils in the State to draw up a new roadmap to confront the numerous challenges being faced in their respective areas.

In a congratulatory message to the new Local Governments Executives, the State President of the Union, Comrade Rayanu Isyaku Turunku  said there is no better time than now to effect change in the leadership mantle of the Local Government Councils in view of the urgent  need to inject new ideas and approach.
Comrade Rayanu implored the Council Chairmen to focus on fostering growth, security, economy hardership, high cost of living and staff welfare  to impart positively on the people of the grassroots.

The NULGE President assured the new leaders that the Local Governments are endowed with both qualified staff and resources,  stressing the need for policy that encourage inclusiveness and collaboration to involve all relevant stakeholders in the affairs of the Councils.
Comrade Rayanu pledged the support and loyalty of the Union and the entire Local Government workers to the new Local Government Councils, looking forward to a smooth and harmonious relationship for effective and rapid service delivery.

He reminded them that their victories at the  elections was based on their past track records hence the need to strive to justify the people’s confidence and trust in them by living up to expectation,  while also wishing them successful tenure of office.
