Nigeria: Gov. Mutfwang Condoles Nigerian Air Force, Adamawa Govt. Over Tragic Accident

Governor Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang of Plateau State has extended condolences to the Nigerian Air Force, and the Adamawa State Government following a tragic accident that claimed lives at Hawan Kibo area of Plateau State.

On Monday, an 18-seater bus was involved in an accident due to brake failure; it collided with a stationary trailer undergoing roadside repairs.

The accident esulted in the death of all passengers, including five Nigerian Air Force personnel.

In a message, the Governor described the accident as “a devastating loss,” a statement by his spokesperson, Gyang Bere, said.

The statement further said, the Governor expressed “sincere sympathy to the bereaved families, the Governor of Adamawa State, the Chief of the Air Staff, and all those affected by the painful event.

“The Governor prayed that such a heart-wrenching occurrence would not be repeated.

“Governor Mutfwang also commended the prompt and courageous response of the Special Task Force (STF), Federal Road Safety Corps, and local volunteers who made concerted efforts to rescue the passengers, despite the tragic outcome,” the statement said.
