Chairman of the Council of Yoruba traditional Obas and Chiefs in the 19 Northern States and Abuja, Ambassador Muhammad Arigbabuwo, has frowned at the non inclusion of non indigenes in the sharing of palliatives amongst the citizens.
Arigbabuwo who expressed his displeasure in a statement, called on the state governors to consider non Indigenes in the distribution of palliatives in their respective states.
In the statement signed and made available to the newsmen on Wednesday, the Chairman further emphasized that non indigenes were being totally sidelined in the whole of the scheme.
” If truly, we are One Nigeria and not a satellite, we are equally entitled and deserved fair justice,” Arigbabuwo stated.
He therefore called on the President and National Assembly and others to come to the consider non indigenes who do not benefit from the palliatives in most of the states.
“We are aware of several humanitarians and financial support with palliatives given to only the indigenes,” Arigbabuwo emphasised.
On insecurity, he said, the security Chiefs deserved commendations on their efforts to restore national peace and unity, especially during the recent nationwide “End Bad Governance Protest”.
This is just as he urged Nigerians to continue to pray for the smooth running of government by the present administration.
