Open Letter To The Governor Of Gombe State, Alhaji Muhammad Inuwa Yahaya

Date:

I hope this letter finds you in good health and high spirits.

I decided to write this open letter to you following a press release from the office of the deputy governor, dated 25th August, 2024.

The press statement was as a result of the positive outcome of the meeting of the tripartite committee you set up to lay a foundation for the smooth implementation of the new minimum wage, headed by your able Deputy, Dr. Manasseh Daniel Jatau.

We pray it is implemented soon

This singular act, suggests how pragmatic you can be. You have listened to the cry of the people following an earlier media statement that suggested non compliance to the new wage arrangement declared by the FG. May God bless you.

Responsible and responsive leadership is the type that hears the people and makes adjustments, not adamantly standing on what one thinks is right. May other leaders learn from this act.

May I also use this medium to appreciate you on behalf of the people of Tunfure, in Akko Local government area. The road constructions that are ongoing, will boost business activities in the area and will also reduce crime rates within the communities. More can still still be achieved.

In conclusion, I still want to urge you to look at other decisions you have taken in the past that are not necessarily favorable to the majority of the people you govern, and find a way of softening or completely reversing them. May Allah grant you more wisdom, long life and good health to stir our dear state in the right direction.

Long live Gombe State!

Long live Nigeria!
