The Maro community, in Kajuru Local Government Area of Kaduna State, has taken a proactive step towards combating banditry and insecurity by collectively funding the completion of the Maro Military Strike Force building.
The initiative was aimed at providing comfortable and functional base for the military personnel posted to the area to effectively operate and protect the community and neighbouring villages.
A former Local Government Council Chairman, Hon. Cafra Caino reportedly demonstrated exceptional dedication to the project by working tirelessly alongside other stakeholders, including the traditional ruler of the area, HRH Chief Titus Dauda the Agom Kufana Chiefdom, to mobilize resources and ensure the project’s completion.
To this end, on Tuesday, August 20, 2024, they visited the site with a contractor to commence the final stages of the project.
According to reports, the community’s efforts and contributions have been instrumental in driving the project forward. They however appealed to local, State, and federal governments to provide necessary support and funding, to complete the strike force project.

“We commend Hon. Cafra Caino, HRH Titus Dauda, and the entire Maro community for their commitment to this vital project. We look forward to the government’s prompt response and support to ensure the successful completion of the Maro Military Strike Force” the community said.
