Following the recent declaration by Benue State Gov., Rev. Fr. Dr. Hyacinth Alia on payment of N70,000 to workers, the Benue State liaison Director in Kaduna, Mr. Paul Ayila Gber has reiterated the zeal of the Governor in keeping promises stressing that the Governor will definitely pay since he has a culture of keeping to his words.

The State Liaison Director who spoke to newsmen last Friday after receiving members of the Benue Diaspora Community for Good Governance maintained that ” I am very confident that His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Benue State Rev.Fr.Dr. Hyacinth Iormem
Aliya will pay Benue workers the Seventy thousand naira. He has never failed us, he is our talk and do Governor, and anything he says will come to pass, take a look at the projects going on in Benue State now, when he came in, he promised to renovate the State Secretariat that is where all civil servants are accommodated to do their work. It will interest you to know that he has renovated it , furnished it and presently he is thinking of even moving his office to the sectariat, so he’s doing wonders in Benue State. You will agree with me that he is taking the issue of infrastructural Development very serious, you can see the level of construction of drainages, good roads, all over in zones A, B and C Senatorial Districts so let us join hands and support his administration, pray for his good health , pray for his wisdom to do more.”

On insecurity in some parts of Benue State , Paul Ayila Gber said ” the Governor is doing alot to control and improve security in Benue State and one of the recent steps he has taken, is the establishment of Home Land Security which is more like State Police, I think the DG has just been appointed and we are sure we are also confident that the activities of the Home Land Security will reduce the security challenges we have in Benue State .

Earlier, Comrade Atule Emmanuel, Director General, Benue Diaspora Community for Good Governance who was in the Kaduna-Benue liaison office to congratulate the new Director, revealed that “the issue of security in Benue State is a diverse situation and is not just the Governor alone that can do it, Security agencies are involved, the people in zone A, that is the Sankera axis, the Chiefs, the Youths and whoever that is living there needs to co-oporate with the security agencies and the Governor of Benue State by giving useful information about those people that are disturbing the peace of that particular zone.”

Atule stated that the essence for the visit was to welcome the new director of Benue liaison office in person of Dr Ayila Gber who assumed office in March 2024. ” He has been working very well, we have been meeting with him in different capacity but today as a group ,we want to come and welcome him and ask him to become part of us and support us for activities of our group. Security in Benue State, and a new 1 has been appointed ,I feel that is a good step in the right direction so I want to appeal to the governor of Benue State that let him work together with all the traditional rulers, the people of Benue State to ensure that they work together even with the security agencies so that they will bring the issue of security in zone A and the entire Benue State under control.
