Police in Jigawa have arrested a 23-year old Yusufa Yunusa of Gwaram town on charges of sodomy, accusing him of having sex with his pupils with force.
According to medical report, the suspect has defilled 10 out of 12 of his almajir Islamic school pupils in Gwaram town.
A statement by the PPRO, Jigawa State Police Command, DSP Lawal Shiisu Adam stated that “On 10/07/2024 at about 2100hrs, information was received at Gwaram Divisional Police Headquarters that, on the same date at about 1400hrs, one Yusufa Yunusa ‘m’ age 23yrs of Gwaram town, a teacher of an Almajiri Islamic school, who was accused of taking some of his pupils out to different locations in having sex with them by force.
“It added that when ever he took the student’s outskirt of Gwaram town, he will force them to massage his penis, thereafter suck it, in the process, compels them to swallow his sperm whenever he releases.
“On receipt of this very unfortunate and ugly reports, detectives attached to Gwaram Division, swiftly swung into action and arrested the suspect. He was brought to the Division for preliminary investigations.
“Later, the suspect was transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) Dutse for a discreet investigation.
‘On interrogation, the suspect confessed to the commission of the offence. He will soon be charged to court for prosecution, the statement concludes, the statement concludes.
