Easter: Kogi Paramount Ruler, Onu Abocho Sues For Prayers, Peace, Unity

The Onu Abocho and paramount ruler of Biraidu District, in Dekina Local Government Area of Kogi State, Northcentral Nigeria HRH, Jonah Idris Okai has urged Christians to see the Easter celebration as a time to embrace goodness and fear of God.

Chief Jonah Okai, in his Easter message, enjoined Christians to reflect well on the significance of the celebration, saying it should not be a period of mere merry making.

He admonished Christians to be guided by the principles of God, saying love, tolerance and forgiveness should be the watchword.

The Onu Abocho noted that the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ was symbolic, hence it should not be taken for granted, urging the people to intensify prayers for a better Nigeria.

The paramount ruler, particularly felicitated with Christians in his domain, the government and people of the State, adding that their reflections and prayers would usher in more tidings in the year.

Chief Jonah maintained that peaceful co-existence remain paramount and advised the people to maintain their pride of place and wished everyone a successful Easter celebration
