I’ll Be Committed To Implementing Youth-focused Policies – Gloria
In keeping to his mandate of inclusive governance, Kaduna State Governor, in North West Nigeria, Mal. Uba Sani, Tuesday swore in Barr. Gloria Ibrahim as the pioneer Commissioner for the newly created Ministry for Youth Development.
Also sworn in were the Head of Service, Mrs Jummai Bako and the Commissioner for Education, Prof. Abubakar Sambo tasking them to roll up their sleeves for effective service delivery.

Governor Sani congratulated the appointees and urged them to bring in their “good skills and competences to contribute effectively to the rebuilding and renewing of our dear state”.
While reflecting on the journey so far, the Governor noted that his administration has committed to the rapid transformation of rural and urban communities through massive infrastructural development, revival and revitalization of health and educational sectors, fighting poverty and strengthening partnership with security forces to secure the state.
The Governor called on the new appointees to collaborate effectively with other appointees towards success and contribute their quota with a focus on serving the people to help the administration leave a lasting legacy.
“We are determined to finish well. You are therefore expected to help push our administration to leave lasting legacies. You must ensure you think outside the box while keeping the box in view. Your focus at all times must be the citizens of Kaduna state. We are their servants, and therefore we must work for them. Their interest must be the uppermost in our minds”.
“Let me also remind all of you that it is by working as a team that we shall succeed. We must avoid working in silos. We, If we operate independently with limited communication or collaboration, success will be hindered.”
Responding , Barr Gloria who thanked God and the Governor for given her the opportunity to serve, pledged to uphold the trust reposed in her by implementing youth focused policies in line with the SUSTAIN agenda of the administration.
“Let me first express my profound gratitude to God Almighty and to His Excellency, Governor Senator Dr. Uba Sani, for finding me worthy of this appointment. I pledge to uphold the trust reposed in me by implementing youth-focused policies that align with the SUSTAIN Agenda of this administration. My approach will be data-driven, inclusive and accountable to the people of Kaduna State.”
She solicited the “guidance and support of all stake holders in delivering our collective mandate. I welcome your oversight and constructive criticism as we work to transform our youths potential”.
Barr. Gloria holds an LL.B (Hons) and a Postgraduate Diploma in International Law and Diplomacy (PGDILD) from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. Additionally, she is certified in negotiation, mediation, and professional development, enhancing her ability to drive conflict resolution and capacity-building programs.
