Nigeria: Kanwan Katsina Felicitates With DanAli For Bagging Best NUJ Chairman, Northwest

The Kanwan Katsina District Head of Ketare Alhaji Usman Bello Kankara has congratulated the Chairman, Nigeria Union of Journalists, Katsina State Council, Comrade Tukur Hassan DanAli for bagging the best performing NUJ Chairman in the Northwest Region.

Alhaji Usman Bello Kankara gave the commendation while delivering a goodwill message as a royal father at a grand reception in honour of the NUJ Chairman organized by the State Executive Council of the NUJ to celebrate the feat.

The Traditional Ruler explained that bagging the best performing Chairman in the Northwest did not come as a surprise considering his examplary leadership qualities coupled with developmental initiatives and the practice of journalism being exhibited in Katsina State.

According to him, the NUJ Chairman has succeeded in uniting all the working Journalists in the state under one umbrella, renovated and upgraded the NUJ Secretariat, provision of sporting Arena at the Secretariat, construction of Mosque for five daily prayers and organizing annual events among others.
“On behalf of my family, the community of Ketare, I congratulate the NUJ Chairman and prayed for more wins ahead”.

Alhaji Usman Bello Kankara acknowledged the existing cordial relationship between the working journalists and his palace and assured that his door will continue to remain open for support and advice.

The event was attended by the representative of the Commissioner of Information, head of media organizations, members of the academia, civil society organizations and working journalists in the State.
