Nigeria: Sule Lamido Donates Housing Complex To Jigawa University

Former Jigawa State Governor, Sule Lamido has donated a housing complex at his country home, Bamaina in Birnin Kudu Local govt. Area to the State government.

A statement made available to newsmen by the former Governor’s Media Aide, Mansur Ahmed, in Dutse said the complex would be used as Institute for Islamic Studies and Research of the Sule Lamido University, Kafin Hausa.

The statement quotes Alhaji Sule Lamido as saying that he built the complex with the hope of donating it for a cause after his demise.

Lamido, the statement further said, promised to upgrade the complex with additional structures befitting of a research centre.

“He dedicated the complex as a way of giving back to the people, who trusted him and gave him the mandate to develop the State,” the statement added”. .

In a remarks, the Secretary to the state government, Alhaji Bala Ibrahim lauded the gesture, and described Sule Lamido as a patriotic citizen.
