Group Life Assurance Scheme: Police Pay N41.5 million To Families Of Deceased In Jigawa

The Inspector General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu has issued cheques of N41,527,360.37k to families of Twenty- Seven fallen heroes of the Jigawa state Police Command who lost their lives while on active service.

Presenting the cheques to the next of kins of the deceased, the Commissioner of Police, Jigawa state Command, AS Abdullahi stated that the payment was part of the IGP commitment to cater for the welfare of officers and men of the force including the families of the deceased

” The IGP in his magnanimity, directed me to issue these twenty four cheques of N41,527,36037k to twenty four members of next of kins of our fallen heroes as part of IGP’s Group Life Assurance Scheme and called on the deceased next of kins to make use of these monies judiciously”

According to CP Abdullahi, these cheques even though token represent our commitment to your well- being. We understand that no amount of money can replace the loss of our loved ones, but we hope it can ease some of the burdens you face and provide a foundation for the future.

He prayed for the souls of the departed police who lost their lives in the cause of active service to their dear fatherland, assuring that they will continue to honor the memory of their loved ones, as their absence leaves a gap that can never be truly filled.

Responding unbehalf of the Next of Kins of the departed police, Mal. Abdullahi Dutse thanked the IGP and all the officer’s and Men of the jigawa state police Command for this gesture.

According to him, they ran short of words of commendation to the IGP and all his lieutenants for the honor done to them
