Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano State has called on his political opponent, Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna of the APC, to support him in developing the state for the betterment of its residents.
He made the call soon after the Supreme court declared Abba Yusuf duly elected governor of Kano state.
The Election Tribunal and the Appeals Court had declared the APC gubernatorial candidate, Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna as elected governor, after cancelling over 100,000 votes cast for Abba Kabir Yusuf, and faulting his candidature on the NNPP platform.
Gov. Yusuf praised the Supreme Court for upholding the glory of the judiciary.
The governor also extended appreciation to members of his party, NNPP, and the party leadership for their support and guidance.
Mr. Yusuf praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and the Vice President, Kashim Shettima for not interfering court processes despite pressure from different quarters.
