Nigeria: CAN Appreciates Jigawa Gov’s Christmas, New Year Largesse

The JIgawa State chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) officials have visited Jigawa State Government House to appreciate Governor Umar Namadi’s Christmas and New Year gifts to Christian community in the state.

The CAN delegation was led by the State Chairman, Reverend Moris Kole Hassan who commended the Governor, Malam Umar Namadi and his government for the gesture which he said was a sign of love.

The gesture, he added, has proved the good intention of the governor to carry everybody along as well as ensure justice and fairness .

Reverend Kole promised to continue collaborating with the government in promoting peace, unity and progress in the state saying that Christianity was always against any act of violence or injustice.

He assured the state government that, CAN would remain a big partner in building a prosperous future of the state.

Receiving the delegation on behalf of the Governor, the State commissoner For Special duties, Alhaji Auwal Sankara said the donation of food items by the government was for them to celebrate the yuletide

He stated that Jigawa state is home to all irrespective of tribe or religious inclination,  adding that Government remains committed to protecting the lives and properties as well as ensuring the well-being of every one residing in the state.
