...Commends Gov. Radda For Appointing Ex – Customs Officer, SA Public Enlightenment
The Kanwan Katsina District Head of Ketare, Alhaji Usman Bello Kankara has charged newly inaugurated officials of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ Katsina State Television Chapel to leave enduring legacies including projects when they must have left office.
The Kanwan Katsina who is also the Grand Patron of the Chapel gave the advise shortly after the inauguration of the officials for a three-year tenure.
The traditional ruler also called on the management of the Television Station to intensify efforts in training and retraining of staff to meet global best practices while journalists should always strive to confirm and balance their stories.
While congratulating the newly inaugurated officials, the Grand Patron urged them to justify the confidence reposed in them by members.
The event featured goodwill messages from a representative of the General Manager KTTV, Chairman Katsina State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists and his counterpart from the National Association of Women journalists NAWOJ, Chairmen of Companion FM and Correspondents Chapels among others.
The inaugurated officials were Aminu Garba Dandagoro chairman, Ahmed Mukthar Yantaba vice chairman, Yasir Abubakatr Sectary, Abdulaziz Salisu Financial Secretary, Mustapha Dahiru Mani Assistant Financial Secretary, Shamsu Habib Treasure, and Safiyanu Musa Auditor.
Meanwhile, the Kanwan Katsina Alhaji Usman Bello Kankara has lauded the appointment of Alhaji Abubakar Gambo Danmusa as Special Assistant to the Governor on Public Enlightenment.
While commending Governor Dikko Umaru Radda for the appointment, the traditional ruler said he had known and worked with the appointee while in the Nigeria Customs Service to be hard-working and dedicated.
A statement by the Media Aide and Sarkin Labarun Kanwan Katsina, Jamilu Hashimu Gora said the traditional ruler congratulated the Special Assistant for his appointment, assuring him of continued support and collaboration at all times.
Alhaji Abubakar Danmusa, a graduate of Mass Communication from Bayero University Kano, was a seasoned public servant and expected to use his wealth of experience to enlighten the public on government policies and programs.
