Cyber Security: ITF Trains 270 Youth In Kaduna To Frustrate Scammers

The Industrial Training Fund, ITF says it has trained two hundred and seventy youth on cyber security and codding to address the negative activities of scammers in Kaduna State.

The Area Manager ITF Kaduna Office, Engineer Garba Hassan stated this during an interactive forum with stakeholders with the theme “Artificial Intelligence and the Future of Human Resource Development in Nigeria” held in Kaduna.

He informed the stakeholders that the Fund financed the training of the two hundred and seventy youth for six months including their transportation and start-up packs provided them during graduation.

” If those youths whom were trained on cyber security and equipped with start-up packs utilized them positively, Kaduna State would not be safe for scammers and criminals”. He said.

Engr. Garba Hassan said within the year under review, Kaduna Area office of ITF had trained seven thousand youths on tailoring, fashion design, leather work, beauty care and cosmetology, graphic design and photography, solar installation among others.

He thanked all ITF partners for always being there assuring them that his doors for partnership are always opened for human capital and economic development.

In a paper presentation, a part-time lecturer at Kaduna State University, Mallam Umar Faruk said companies were adopting artificial intelligence because it helps them to improve efficiency and productivity as well.

” Artificial technology is able to automate tedious, repetitive, and time-consuming tasks that were previously done manually” he added.

In their separate responses, representatives of Bank of Industry, New Nigeria Development Company, Bank of Agriculture, Nigeria Railways commended ITF Kaduna Area office under Engr. Garba Hassan and the management for their efforts particularly in the training of their staff in different capacities.

In a vote of thanks, the Head of Training ITF, Kaduna Area office, Mr. Daniel Jamgbade assured their partners that the fund would continue to do its best in the area of training in human development.

The event featured presentation of an award of Outstanding Performance to Bank of Industry as the best in training, Nigeria Railway Corporation as the best in in-house training and District Head of Doka, Alhaji Balarabe Muhammad as the best Community Development Leader.

Others are, Al-Rissalah Printing and Publishing Company Nigeria as the best in training contribution (without variance) and the Terraina Construction Nigeria Ltd. as the most outstanding in training contribution.
