Armed Forces Command & Staff College, Federal Fire Service To Foster Relationship

The Commandant of Armed Forces Command & Staff College (AFCSC) Jaji ably represented by Brg Gen I A. Ajose, Director of Administration, has visited the Controller General of Federal Fire Service, Engr Jaji O. Abdulganiyu at the Service HQs.

The visit on Friday 3rd Nov 2023, was to collaborate on more training, fire prevention and reinforcing the pre-existing relationship between both agencies.

The Commandant expressed his appreciation to the Service for the working relationship it has had so far with AFCSC and requests for the deployment of firefighting Truck to augment the current firefighting infrastructural deficit in the College.

Responding, Engr Jaji informed him of the process to be followed towards ensuring that an intervention comes through, with the Hon Minister of Interior’s permission.

Spokesman for the Fire Service, ACF Paul O. Abraham said the Service Boss also acknowledged with delight, the trainings that the prestigious College offers men and officers of the Federal Fire Service.

The Armed Forces Command and Staff College is a Joint Service institution established to produce operational-level military officers of the highest professional standard as well as to ensure standardization of Staff Duties in the Nigerian Armed Forces.

It was established on 29 May 76 as Army Command and Staff College, with assistance from the British Army Advisory Team (BAAT).

The College has since continued to meet the objectives of developing the knowledge and understanding of selected officers of the 3 Services of the Nigerian Armed Forces including the Federal Fire Service and other sister agencies as a means of preparing them for increasing responsibilities.

In attendance, were Assistant Controller General of Fire(ACGF) Bello Zagga, HOD Admin/Supply; ACGF Tambari Muazu, HOD Federal Ops; ACGF Olusegun Oladuni, HOD Investigation Inspectorate and Enforcement(IIE); ACGF Olumode Samuel A., HOD Procurement; ACGF Baro Alfa, Commandant of The National Fire Academy (NFA), Assistant Controller of Fire(ACF) Aliyu, Chief Protocol Officer; ACF Ashafa, PA to the CGF, ACF Paul O. Abraham NPRO, and the delegates from Command & Staff College, Jaji.
