Nigeria: Plateau PDP Calls For Calm, Prayers As Court Orders For Re-run Senatorial Election

The Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Plateau State Chapter, Chris Hassan has called on the people of the State to remain calm and be law abiding.
The appeal followed the court verdict which ordered a re-run of Plateau North Senatorial District election..

A statement by the Personal Assistant on Media and Protocol to the Chairman, Kefas Sumdi qoutes his Principal as saying, “we are not deterred, we have been victorious, and we will always remain committed to sustain our victories in the state since 1999.

“He believed that that his party won the elections convincingly in the National/State Assemblies elections and has no doubt that plateau citizens would turn out en masse to vote for his party in the coming rerun.

“PDP won the election clean and clear, if we go back to the poll 100 times, PDP will still win convincingly.

“The party legal team is studying the judgement of the appellant court and in days a communication will be made public.

“The Chairman offered a prayers In-Context of Psalms 34:19 “Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all”

“He assures his teeming supporters this trial will turn out to be a testimony and thanksgiving by His Grace”.
