Members of the local council Steering Management Committees of Acresal of Hadejia and Kiri-kasamma local Govt Councils in Jigawa State, Northwest Nigeria, have been tasked to be committed, focused and dedicated to the cause of Acresal programs with a view to achieving the desire objectives in the state.
Acresal is a World Assisted Programme aimed at addressing the challenges of land degradation, and climate change among others

called on them to justify the confidence reposed in them as their nomination was strictly based on merits hence the need for them to exhibit dedication to service.

“As your appointments were strictly based on merits and your administrative skills, I urged you not to let us down in projecting this noble national and state assignments”

The formation of 12- 12 council Steering Management Committee of Acresal members in the 27 council’s in Jigawa State will be headed by the council’s Director Personnel Management ( DPM) of each of the 27 councils.

The World Assisted Programme is aimed at addressing the challenges of land degradation, and climate change as well as agricultural development and improvement of social amenities for the populace

It is expected that the project will help restore one million hectares of degradation land in the Northern part of the country.
This will in turn contribute to the federal govt objectives and commitment to restoring four million hectares of degraded land set for agric development between now and 2030.

This project will also reduce the vulnerability of million’s of the extreme poor populace in Northern Nigeria through strengthening their own role towards achieving the desire objectives.
