Heineken Sponsors Golf Tournament In Kaduna, Okopi Wins Overall Best Net

The Heineken brand of the Nigerian Breweries Plc sponsored Year 2023 Golf Tournament, has been concluded at the Kaduna golf club course.

The tournament which was sponsored to mark the nation’s independent anniversary had various skill levels (golfers) gathered at the Kaduna golf club for individual and team honors.

The Captain of the Kaduna golf club, Mr. Kenneth Nwankwo described Heineken as a veritable partner, and as well, appreciated the company’s support for the club in the last 45 years.

Also speaking at the just concluded event, the Regional Business Manager North, Ehimhen Igberaese said they are proud to have been part of the golf tournament.

According to Igberaese, the tournament which connected his company to the golfing community, demonstrated more commitment to fostering memorable experiences.

On his part, the Corporate Affairs Manager, North, Kabiru Kassim asserted that the partnership with Kaduna golf club exemplifies the company’s support for promoting sporting events that bring people together in the spirit of competition and fun.

“Golf is a sport that reflects Heineken’s values of class, excellence, quality, and bringing people together,” Kassim stressed.

At the conclusion of the tournament, the team from Nigerian Breweries and the Regional management team expressed satisfaction with the success of the competition, adding that the company is known for its commitment to providing quality, excellence, and enjoyment.

The tournament saw outstanding performances from golfers who showcased their skills and passion for the sport, while the competition came to an end with an award and presentation of gift to all the winners in different categories.

While Vera David won in the lady’s category, Architect Arabi Bello won in the veteran category.

Other winners were Nicholas Ashinze, who won the gentlemen category, while the overall best net was won by Friday Okopi of Wuyep Lakeside golf club.
