The General Overseer of Christ Evangelical and Life Intervention Ministry, Kaduna, Pastor Yohanna Buru has declared the commitment of the church to recognizing individuals who has made significant contributions to humanity and the nation’s development.

Pastor Yohanna Buru stated this while honouring Hajiya Ramatu Tijjani with an Award for her remarkable efforts in promoting peace and inter-religious tolerance within the State
“She has tirelessly worked to aid victims of banditry, kidnappings, terrorism, and ethno-religious and political crises.
“Over the past decade, Hajiya Ramatu Tijjani has been generously providing clothing and food to hundreds of Christian widows and orphans during Christmas and New Year celebrations across various churches.
“Additionally, she annually distributes over 50 Christmas trees to pastors, with the aim of fostering peace and harmony in the northern part of the country” Buru said.

Pastor Buru also recounts Hajiya Ramatu’s pivotal role in encouraging women to participate in peace-building efforts and promoting forgiveness and tolerance among members of different faith-based organizations in the country.
“Her impact extends to the lives of many internally displaced persons, including inmates, through the distribution of educational materials to students in camps and prisons.

Responding, Hajiya Ramatu who is the National President of the Foundation for the Protection of Women and Children in Nigeria and Peace Ambassador, expressed her gratitude to the church for the recognition.

The Awardee who reflected on her ten years of assisting women and children in IDP camps through various humanitarian initiatives, called on well to do individuals to extend their assistance to the less fortunate, especially, during times of hardship.
