Zambia: Luapula Province Gets Minister As Hichilema Calls For Unity

President Hakainde Hichilema of Zambia has stressed the importance of unity with a call on Njavwa Simutowe who was sworn in as the Minister of Luapula province to serve the people with dignity.

At the same time, he swore in Mrs Monica Chipanta Mwansa as Deputy Director – General for the Anti-Corruption Commission.

At the ceremony, Hichilema emphasised the importance of unity and called on the newly appointed and swore in Luapula province Minister to serve the people with dignity.

“Luapula province should not be a poor province when it is endowed with vast human and natural resources. We are working round the clock to ensure that these resources are put to good use and contribute to the country’s and especially the province’s social and economic development.

“To the swore in ACC deputy Director General, Mrs Mwansa, we called on her to work with existing structures and expedite the fight against corruption.

“The UPND government will continue to unite the country and appointments to public service such as these, will be and should become normal because we are one people and one nation regardless of the place where one was born from.

“May God bless our country”. Hakainde Hichilema concludes.
